Mrs. Jessica Diaz To All Instructors

My life has had many chapters, but I am so glad at this point in my life to be homeschooling my four children.  After growing up in Colorado Springs, I went to Grove City College for my B.A. in English with a minor in religion. I next moved to central Mexico, where I worked for a mission organization in starting English language classes in rural communities.  I fell in love with this adventurous life and came to Wheaton Graduate School to earn my M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and Intercultural Studies in order to be more qualified for the work that I had been doing.  While here, however, I did an internship with a bilingual kindergarten, became involved in ministry with a bilingual church, and met my (now) Mexican husband, and my life took a different turn.  After we married, I worked in the public schools as a bilingual teacher before having children.  I have always homeschooled my kids and have taught Spanish, drama, literature, composition and Latin at a few other co-ops in the area at different points.  When I get the chance, I love gardening, cooking, reading, crafting, music and theater, and spending time in nature.
