Mrs. Jennifer Miller To All Instructors

I am the mother of two beautiful children. Our family keeps God at the center of our lives and strives to live a righteous life following The Word. The Lord has led us to homeschool our children for the past few years. That decision, along with having them attend Heritage, has proven to be a tremendous blessing for our family. Our children are thriving and growing in their faith.
Working with children has always been my passion. I earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Illinois University. I have taught preschool in the public schools for a total of 8 years. I worked for 4 of those years prior to being blessed with my first child, my beautiful daughter Ella. In my fifth year of teaching, which was my first year as a mother, the pull between the two was agonizing. My family then made the decision for me to stay home and provide home daycare for families whose children ranged in age from infancy to 6 years old. This allowed me to be home with my daughter while still allowing me to teach and care for young children. During those 7 years, we welcomed my son, Colton, to our family. There came a point where I had to return to teaching in the classroom due to financial needs. As I choose to resign from teaching in the public schools, I feel extremely blessed to be able to continue teaching as I join the Heritage family in the fall of 2022. I am grateful for this opportunity to teach in an environment that allows me to keep God at the center of every lesson. I am very excited about the coming year.
