Mrs. Amanda Ross To All Instructors
Hello! My name is Amanda Ross, and I am so excited to be teaching at Heritage! A little about myself: I have been married to my wonderful husband Kevin for 14 years. We have two sweet daughters, Naomi and Phoebe. We feel so blessed and fortunate to have found Heritage, and we love all the variety and opportunities available to help make our homeschool experience even better! I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education with an English major from National Louis University, and also have extensive training in special education. I worked in local public & private schools until we had our first daughter. I have been a stay-at-home mom since having our girls, but have continued to work in education by creating a private tutoring business for children from the elementary level up to college. Our family is also super blessed to be active in our church, where I currently work teaching AWANA and leading the Teen Girls ministry. Overall, I have more than 24 years of teaching experience. The best thing that ever happened to me in my life was accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior when I was 37 years old. God in His mercy pursued this girl until I finally surrendered to His will for my life. To Him be ALL the glory, to Him be all the praise for any teaching ability that I have--because despite the long list of accomplishments, without Him I am nothing. My best ideas come from the Lord. To Him be the glory for it ALL. I hope to meet some of you in the Shurley Grammar program this Fall!
