Mrs. Amanda Ross To All Instructors
Hello! My name is Amanda Ross, and I am so excited to be teaching at Heritage! A little about myself: I have been married to my wonderful husband Kevin for 18 years. We have two sweet daughters, Naomi and Phoebe. We feel so blessed and fortunate to have found Heritage. We love all the variety and opportunities available, which have helped make our homeschool experience even better! God called us into homeschooling, and the journey has been very rewarding for our family. We have been homeschooling for 12 years.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education (K-9) with an English major from National Louis University, and also have extensive training in special education. I have theater & public speaking teaching experience, which has become a passion through ministry opportunities at our church.
I taught in local public and private schools until we had our first daughter. I have been a stay-at-home mom since having our children, but have continued to work in education by creating a private tutoring business for children from the elementary level up to college. Our family is also super blessed to be active in our church, where I currently serve as Assistant Pastor’s wife and lead the Teen Girls’ ministry. Overall, I have more than 28 years of teaching experience.
The best, most life-changing experience that has ever happened to me was Jesus Christ becoming my Lord and Savior. To God be all the praise for any teaching ability that I have--without Him, I am nothing. My best ideas come from the Lord. To Him be the glory for it ALL. I hope to meet some of you in HS Speech/Debate, Geometry, Middle School Writing OR as an advisor for the Heritage Student Council!
